Children who have been baptized usually make their First Communion in 2nd grade, at the age of 7 or 8. To best prepare their hearts to receive the body and blood of Christ, they first celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance or Confession). Preparation for these two sacraments is commonly referred to as “Sacramental Prep.”
If your child would like to participate in our Sacramental Prep program but has not been baptized, please contact Amanda Cahill at [email protected] to discuss.
We would love to help you and your child prepare for their sacraments. While we are here to help guide you on this journey, this program is designed to be a personal, reflective, and meaningful experience for you and your family. Our goal is for you to learn TOGETHER, discuss TOGETHER, engage TOGETHER, and to deepen your understanding of your relationship with God as a family.
