The Sacrament of Confirmation is, with Baptism and Eucharist, one of the three sacraments of initiation; confirmation completes and “confirms” the grace of baptism. Through the anointing with the sacred chrism the baptized person is “enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit,” and more than ever “obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed” (Catechism 1285). Confirmation is typically celebrated in the spring, with preparation classes for youth 12 and older and for adults who have not been confirmed beginning in late fall and winter. Please fill out and submit the on-line form on this page indicating interest in being confirmed.
Confirmation Classes Offered In Fall 2019
The Archdiocese has lowered the age for Confirmation to seventh grade and above. So this year we will have two classes...one for high school students and one for 7th and 8th graders.
Our high school freshman and sophomores (and above) will meet approximately two Sunday mornings per month at 10:30am to noon. Our seventh and eighth graders will meet approximately two Monday evenings per month from 7:00-8:30pm.
Kick Off on Sunday, September 22nd 7:00-9:00pm.
The Confirmation program will start for ALL students starting with a high energy event!
Please join us! It is very important that each student attends this first class as it will serve as a community builder and orientation for the year.
