Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is, with Baptism and Eucharist, one of the three Sacraments of Initiation; confirmation completes and “confirms” the grace of baptism. Through the anointing with the Sacred Chrism, the baptized person is “enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit,” and more than ever “obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed” (Catechism 1285).
 

At what age and time of year is Confirmation celebrated?

Recently the Archdiocese of Seattle lowered the Confirmation age to 7th grade.  This means that anyone in that grade and beyond (including adults, young and old!) is invited to prepare for the reception of this sacrament.  Don't hesitate to contact our Confirmation Coordinator, Sarah Chopyak at sarah@stbridgetchurch.org for more information about upcoming preparation sessions and sacramental celebrations.

Confirmation will take place on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lake.
