Lectors are the instruments used by the Holy Spirit to bring God’s message to the assembly.

The skills used are:

• Effective use of the microphone

• Careful enunciation and correct pronunciation

• Appropriate posture and reverent movements

• Express emotions verbally

• Visualize the passage and its meaning

• Convey enthusiasm and share faith

Training is scheduled as needed and lector workbooks are available for all lectors. Those who read, pronounce the Word of God, are encouraged to study scripture and become knowledgeable about their readings. Commitment is 1-2 times monthly.
