Children

Children's Liturgy of the Word ~ Children in grades 1-5 are dismissed after the opening prayer at the 10:30 Mass and return during the collection of the gifts. The readings are read, the creed recited and prayers said during the Children’s Liturgy. Not only will children experience all the parts of the Mass, they will gain a better understanding since everything is done at their level. The program runs from October to May.
CLOW Information for 2009/10

Early Childhood ~ Children 4 years of age and those attending kindergarten in Fall of 2010 are invited to participate in this Faith Formation program on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 Mass. Registration is required for participation. Children will learn the stories and traditions of the Catholic Church using materials that are age appropriate and approved by the Archdiocese. The program runs from October to May.  Registration begins in June.

Elementary Faith Formation ~ Grades 1-5 attend weekly sessions from October through May.  Approximately once a month Family and friends of all ages are invited to join the children for a Family Night.  These events vary with the seasons but may include, an Advent Fair, a Service Project, a Journey Through The Life Of A Saint or many other possibilities.  There is always something to learn for everyone as well as refreshments and often crafts for all ages.  Although this program is required for children not attending Catholic School, it is open to all parish children.  The 2010/11 registration will begin in June.

Vacation Bible Camp ~ St. Bridget’s annual Vacation Bible Camp for children entering grades K-5 is July 12-16 this year.  The camp runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm daily.  Children go back in time to the when Jesus lived on earth.  They live in tribes, bake bread and fetch water from the well daily.  They visit the marketplace where they learn a new bible story each day, make crafts and play games Jesus may have played when he was a child.  Registration is currently underway.   The fee is $30 per child and forms are available at the parish office.  For some great pictures of last year's event, click HERE.
