We are a small group of parishioners who make weekly visits to the Catholic patients at Children's Hospital. We administer to the children and their families in many ways.

Some visits are mainly informational e.g. where the chapel is in the hospital or where St. Bridget's is and the time of the Masses.

Other visits are more in depth. We offer comfort through prayer and the Eucharist and also by our presence. Sometimes the patients and their parents just need someone to talk to and we do a lot of listening. Our visits vary from a few minutes to twenty or thirty minutes. The patient dictates the time span. Some days we may see 10 patients others only 2 or 3. This depends on the needs of the patients.

A weekly Mass is offered at the hospital by Fr. Dick Basso, on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., in the chapel.  Our parish Deacon, Denny Duffell, is also available for on-call emergencies, 24 hours a day.

We also help with holiday programs and religious programs at the hospital. Example: Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and a Christmas Program.

As a group we meet bi-monthly at St. Bridget's for additional help and support from each other. The chaplain from the hospital attends as does Deacon Duffell. We use these meetings to learn, to grow and to expand our knowledge to better serve the sick children and their families.
