                                       NIGHT ON THE TOWN

The year 2008 marked the fifth anniversary of our parish good time festival called “The Night on the Town.”  This fund raising event was designed to raise money for the youth program, specifically relating to Mission trips taken during the summer months.  However, aside from the fundraising, it was even more importantly devised for parishioners to just have a good time.  Its original sub-theme was a "parent’s night out."  To that extent those who have attended have never been disappointed!

Last year the Events on the Edge players did an interactive show with the audience during dinner, which had people howling in laughter.  After the show we usually have a small raffle and then the dancing begins.  The Fabulous Boomers provided the music and most people shake a leg until the neighborhood noise curfew shuts us down.  When you couple all these things with a scrumptious Italian dinner prepared by our Youth Minister and his merry mischief kitchen crew, the whole event becomes the best bargain in town for $50.00 per person.  This year the Events on the Edge players planned a dinner show called “Caffeine the Musical” and it was a real scream of humor -- and raised over $3000 for our trips!

Please mark next year's calendar for January 30th -- that is, the last Friday of the month -- for an evening of just plain fun.
